For generations, the Richard Sale Barn, a National Historic Registry recipient, has been the heartbeat of Acadiana-a sanctuary where music, culture, and community come alive. Named the “2nd Best Place to Listen to Live Music in Acadiana”, and dubbed "BARNEGIE HALL" by musicians, this beloved venue has hosted unforgettable moments that resonate far beyond our walls. But now, we need YOUR help to ensure this cherished space continues to thrive.
We’re calling on our community-both near and far-to come together like we’ve done so many times before. Every dollar raised will go directly toward the repairs needed to reopen the Barn and continue our mission.
This is more than a building. It’s a bridge between the past and the future-a place where the rich French, cowboy and rural traditions of Vermilion Parish and Acadiana are celebrated and preserved. Through the Le Bayou Legendaire Company, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit parent organization, the Barn supports musicians, promotes cultural heritage, and serves as a gathering place for all.
