What specifically will my donation fund?
100% of the funds raised will go toward physical improvements to Creedmoor Memorial Park; not for planning, design, or salaries. Your support will be matched with City funds, grants, and sponsorships to rehabilitate B.C. Roberts Field; allowing Creedmoor Parks and Recreation to provide opportunities for youth/adult outdoor athletics and community events. Future projects will include a playground, shelter, garden, community space, and elements recognizing U.S. Armed Service Members.
What will my brick look like, Where will it be placed?
The Service Member’s name and any additional wording, i.e. name of the military branch, unit name, name of a particular conflict, etc., is at the discretion of the donor. At no additional charge you can add a branch of service crest on the brick (examples below). Bricks will be placed at the base of the Community Center flagpole (pictured left).
I don’t know any service members.
Yes you do! They are your coworkers, neighbors, and friends. There are over 300 veteran owned businesses and thousands of individual service members in Granville County. You can adopt-a-brick with a general message of support for our U.S. Armed Services; Businesses can also participate, including having their business logo engraved on a brick. Final approval of all messages rests with the City of Creedmoor.
