Grosse Tete Veteran's Memorial and Walking Trail Honor a Hero You can be a part of this community project by purchasing an engraved memorial brick(s) to honor loved ones, friends or your own family’s veterans. Honor your hero with a Memorial Brick! You have a unique opportunity to create a lasting memento and tribute to a loved one who served their country in any branch of the military. Any person who has ever served in any branch of the United States Armed Services is eligible to have a paving stone inscribed with his or her name placed in the Grosse Tete Veterans Memorial Park. Citizens, groups and organizations wishing to dedicate a memorial in honor of military personnel to be placed in the park are encouraged to do so. The park is located on the corner of Highway 77 and Bayou Road in Grosse Tete. The size of the brick pavers are 4” x 8”. The inscriptions on bricks must be no more than 3 lines and 20 characters long (including spaces) per line OR 3 lines, 12 characters long (including spaces) along with clipart selection. Customize your brick, may want to include branch of service, rank, dates of service, etc. Bricks are $100 each. To order a memorial paver (brick) complete the online or attached form and mail it along with your check, payable to Village of Grosse Tete, to: Village of Grosse Tete, P.O. Box 98, Grosse Tete, Louisiana 70740 or bring it to the Grosse Tete Town Hall. The Village of Grosse Tete will order the Pavers to be engraved and installed twice a year. Orders are processed on March 1st for Memorial Day and September 1st for Veterans Day.
