A committed group of neighbors envisioned providing greater access and enjoyment of the beautiful waterfront at Westhaven Lake. That vision has resulted in the active construction of the splendid new Waterfront Park north of Paddle Dog. The park will be a community landmark for generations to come. A special place built on the strength of this vibrant community to come together in a spirit of fun, health and togetherness.
Buy-A-Brick
The Westhaven Foundation and the Waterfront Park Committee invite you to be an important part of this special park by helping to fund the construction. At the same time, you can also become and indelible part of the park by participating in the commemorative Buy-A-Brick fundraising campaign.
Personalized, engraved bricks are a great way to teach children about charity; honor a special person, family member or group; to commemorate a special occasion; to feature your business or organization; or to be used in memoriam. Your individualized brick will be permanently engraved with your selected name or phrase and will become a lasting tribute to your generosity -- paving the way for generations to come. These bricks will be artistically interspersed amongst other brick pavers around the park. (To see the quality of the bricks, stop by the front desk at the resident’s club.)
A successful Buy-A-Brick campaign is an important step in financing the installation of the extensive brick paver portions of the project, including the firepit, shade trellis and concert plaza. This second phase of the park construction is scheduled for completion in early 2020.
The total construction costs are $420,000. We have raised $220,000 for phase-one already, to be open for use in June, 2019. The slogan for your neighbors on the committee has been, “Built for us, by us.” This is because we believe that fellow residents, like you, would rise to the occasion and build this park. The choice is of course, yours. Will you please help by buying one or more bricks to complete the project?
