The vision for the Walk of Warriors project is to honor all who have served this great nation in the Armed Forces. The Newkirk American Legion Auxiliary is partnering to provide the Kay County Walk of Warriors. Brick pavers may be purchased to honor ANY American who has served or is currently serving in the United States Armed Services. The Veteran NEED NOT be a resident of Kay County. Anyone can purchase a brick in support of a veteran.
Where is the Walk of Warriors located? The Walk of Warriors is a brick paved walking path located on the Kay County Courthouse grounds in historic downtown Newkirk. It runs along the sidewalk leading to the Kay County War Memorial.
What are the pavers? Each 4”x8” paver will be engraved using state of the art laser technology that has a lifetime guarantee to never fade, chip, oxidize or peel. Each paver will have your veteran’s branch of service crest on the left-hand side. The Veteran’s first and last name will be centered automatically on the brick. Please use the space provided below to type the first and last name of your veteran.
When is the deadline to order? Orders must be completed by June 20th, 2022.
When is the projected installation? Our goal is to have the new pavers in the Walk of Warriors by Veterans Day 2022.
