Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Franciscan Hermitage Foundation invites you to join us as we embark on a vital project to renovate an existing building at our hermitage in Newport, Tennessee, and create a sacred space to serve the ministries of the Friars of Holy Crucifixion Hermitage.
The hermitage will be a place where priests can find respite and support, a peaceful haven where they can pray, meditate, reflect and recharge. Here, surrounded by nature, they will connect with the Franciscan tradition of simplicity and service.
Presently, the existing building is in current need of renovation. The need for repairs, including the renovation of the roof, flooring inside the building, and major site work and landscaping to deal with the water problem. The final work estimate stands at a cost of $100,000.
We are asking for a contribution for any of the following three sponsorship ‘Pillars’ for inscribed bricks which will be used to build a patio and grotto of The Blessed Virgin Mary at the hermitage. Bricks can have any of the following inscriptions: individual name, loss of a loved one, family name, group or company name. You will be remembered in the daily Masses at the hermitage.
• Pillar 1: $100 ‘Saint Francis’ Individual Sponsor (one person’s name), 4 x 8-inch brick (text only)
• Pillar 2: $500 ‘Saint Francis’ Individual/Corporate Sponsor (group or business name), 8 x 8-inch brick (text only)
• Pillar 3: $750 ‘Saint Francis/ The Hermitage’ Corporate sponsor, (group or business name) 8 x 8-inch brick (text and/or company logo).
