The Dogwood Vietnam Memorial Foundation (DVMF) announces an opportunity for friends, Veterans and families to leave a lasting tribute with an engraved memorial brick. All service members and those who have served our country are eligible.
The Foundation is organized and operated to honor and perpetuate the lasting memory of all persons who died as a result of their service in the United States military, especially those related to the conflict known as the Vietnam War. The Foundation is particularly concerned with those veterans from Charlottesville, Virginia, and surrounding areas, who are memorialized at the Dogwood Vietnam Memorial in McIntire Park (East), Charlottesville, Virginia (the “Memorial”). The bricks are for all veterans; living, naturally deceased, killed in action or missing in action. The money from the purchased bricks will enable the Foundation to continue to expand its mission to include all conflicts and war veterans.

Veteran Eligibility Guidelines
The Dogwood Vietnam Memorial honors the memory of not only those who served and sacrificed in Vietnam, but all Veterans who served in the United States Military at any time, in any place, and in any conflict. The Memorial seeks to serve as “the hill that heals” for all who served their country. Bricks may used to honor any veteran of the United States or military units or organizations of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Brick Inscription Guidelines
We ask that all inscriptions on the bricks be appropriate for the Memorial, which is a place to honor the service of veterans of the United States. The Memorial bricks are not the place for political, commercial, offensive or other inappropriate messages. Websites, phone numbers, email addresses and the like are not permitted in the inscriptions. The Foundation reserves the right to decline any proposed inscription which the Foundation, in its sole discretion, deems not appropriate for the Memorial.
