As Bellingrath approaches our Centennial in 2032, we’re moving forward with a master plan to preserve and enhance our legacy into the next century. An important part of the work will be renovating the historic core, the parts of the Gardens developed by the Bellingraths during their lifetime.

The first project is the Summer House--a traditional feature found in European gardens. The Bellingraths built it as a place to escape showers and find shade in the heat of the day. The structure, which is on the far side of Mirror Lake, has sheltered generations of visitors. This restoration will ensure an elegant retreat for the future.

Commemorative bricks will be placed in the keyhole garden behind the Summer House. The bricks will form bands between the flagstones. As visitors relax during a walk or enjoy conversations with friends, the bricks will be in easy view. It’s a wonderful way to remember or honor grandparents, parents, children, or friends.

Please help us pave the way to Bellingrath's next century.
